The inside had 2 huge ink stains that required hours of soaking to get dissipate (thank goodness it's black, otherwise this would have been totally trashed visually), and there are 2 spots of what I think might be Crazy Glue on in the inside base, but once you put your purse stuff in there, you'll never see it again.  The only other blip is the straps; the center layer is kind of crunched up, though it is really an aesthetic thing, rather than a structural one. Sleek, structured, and well thought out, the Madison Collection was a very chic departure for Coach.  This Carnegie Clutch is from the first year of release, in a color they called Maple.  It is a convertible bag, easily going from day to night thanks to the removable strap and the near flat laying top handle, it can be a shoulder bag, a top handle bag, or a clutch! It was not an inexpensive purse when it was released either; at $220, this (and all the Madison Collection) were on the upper end of Coach's quality line.  Like with any quality piece, it doesn't cost.. it pays. Fully bathing it was out of the question, so I cleaned it gently with PH balanced suede cleaner and PH balanced leather cleaner and conditioner to not only preserve the moisture in the hide but to add to it.  I brushed the suede and conditioned the handles and piping and had a rip repaired to the inside slip pocket.  The process, while slow, added years to it, it really impressed me!
