This Alumesh bag probably dates to a few years after WWII (during which the company focused their manufacturing on the war effort, not fashion). The ivory-enameled mesh body of the bag is attached to a gold metal frame that fastens with a kiss clasp, and hangs from a thick snake chain strap, also enameled. The bag is lined with dark purple taffeta (that was probably navy blue, originally). Other than this possible fading to the lining fabric, the only issue with the bag is some wear to the gold metal at the top edges of the frame, and to the metal caps at each end of the chain itself.
