Elastic is threaded through the edges to give it shape and to hold it in place.\u003cbr\u003eThis one was hand made in the 1930s. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt measures approximately 21\" inside.\u003cbr\u003eUnlined.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI laundered it but I did not bleach it.
