The wider bell sleeve began coming into fashion around this time after the very slim, tight-fitting sleeves of the earlier 1840s.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is an incredible deep wine color silk taffeta with a slight color shift that is impossible to fully see in the photos.
