The chipping is the painted leather and if you took these to a quality cobbler he'd have them reheeled and touched up pretty quick!  A suede brush (I gotta get one) will help too! NO stains or real discoloration in the suede just seems dusty.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e shoes are like motorcycles, if they aren't used in a while they can fall apart once you start using them.  These are pretty special but considering their age I'd only wear them a few hours at a time to start.  These are very well made and if you play your cards right they'll last another 80 years.
