It appears to be one of Madame Gyorky’s  Demi Couture gowns.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Bodice features a sweetheart neckline and is fitted with princess seams in the front for fit\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis interior bodice is a well-constructed bustier with interior boning and cups\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere is padding to the cups that can be easily removed if needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe interior grosgrain ribbon at the waist fastens with hooks and eyes at the center back.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere is a low hip-length net with a horsehair edge petticoat attached inside of the skirt, adding fullness.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMetal Talon zipper with hook and eye at the top Maker: Aranka Gyorky, New York I haven’t found much information on Gyorky aside from a few patterns of her pieces being advertised in Newspaper ads in 1953 which make mention of her “designing for America’s most fashionable women”.  RISD also holds a few of her pieces in their collection.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCondition: Good.  Please note there are a few somewhat discreet repairs to the chiffon, mostly to the top of the skirt, just below the waist seam. There is a 1\/8” hole left unrepaired to the right of the zipper on the bodice.   Please see photos.  Overall presents beautifully.  See photos.
