In a few places, the hem has come undone, but this does not affect the overall look and can easily be re-sewn (better go find some tangerine thread!). While you're at it and if you want to bring the nightgown to it's original glory, grab a tangerine ribbon—the top two ribbons could be replaced (not necessary, but if you've got the bobbin all threaded up, why the heck not?). I'd be more than happy to send pictures of these things if you'd like.

_ _ _

The other night, my husband asked me why I was wearing workout clothes to bed.

Now, allow me a paragraph to defend myself before you imagine me crawling into the king-size wearing baggy gray sweat pants and a torn Def Leppard t-shirt. They weren't workout clothes, they were Hanes boy short underwear and a strappy, fitted yoga top. So, while, I wasn't sporting a million dollar bejeweled VS bra with bronze glitter on my décolleté, I wasn't exactly wearing curlers and a green mud mask either.

Still, I understand his point.

Ladies, if we're not careful, we'll start wearing workout clothes to bed, putting a longer version of leggings and workout top on for our day-to-day activities, and then repeating day after day, week after week, month after month. Why? Because they're comfortable. And we want comfortable. But we also want pretty. We want comfortable, well-made, and attractive.

Ta-da. Vintage lingerie.

Seriously, I was never a lingerie girl. Then I put on some of vintage nightgowns, looked in the mirror and promptly decided, I AM a lingerie girl. As long as it's from the 40's, 50's, 60's, or 70's.

These designers knew how to cut on a bias, how to hug and skim a woman's curves and EXACTLY were to put that lace.

Initially I wasn't even going to sell nightgowns, but now it's one of my favorite things to search for and find.

Take the above specimen. Could it look anymore like an orange creamsicle? No. And who doesn't love a good orange creamsicle? (If you answered "Me." then stay tuned, I have less creamsicle-y lingerie coming up.)

On the top, white nylon shutter fabric ends at juuuuust the right point as to provide a peek into what's behind and also the perfect contrasting pop to the tangerine color below. Lace borders the top and décolleté with orange ribbons that can be tied into a bow or left hanging loose sewn to the center. A matching decorative bow is on the bottom.

https://shopthrilling.mom/products/70s-creamsicle-dreamsicle-lingerie-nightgown-by-styled-by-paramount
