Very thick shearling probably because it was made in Poland where cold is really cold. The suede is super soft condition with no drying, cracking or shedding of fur. It looks great and passes the \"drop\" test. The issues I do see are minor and basically the buttons are loose. They are backed by buttons on the inside so anyone who works on leather can just tighten up. And the one bottom braided loop is stretched more than rest, I would imagine no biggie since it is a 50 plus year old coat but again, someone who works with leather should be able to either replace the braided hoop or shorten and stitch. There is the original extra leather button on the inside of coat. This is full pelts so it is a fully shearling not just trim and suede.  \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAnd to find one this length! \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLook at the details in the closures. And the thick fur on collar, front trim, sleeves and hem is very rare in a midi coat. The color is a deep chocolate but had to lighten to show details on pictures.
