There is one slider in silver tone metal to compliment the cut steel beading decoration on the purse.  They were called miser purses, ring or string purses, and finger purses.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThey started being used in the late 18th century and were popular into the early 1900's.  These gorgeous bags have a short slit where you can put coins and other small objects into the tube and then close with the slider.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThese Miser Purses are often featured in Antique Purse books.
