Upon first glance you wouldn't realize it, but on further inspection, the black material is actually wood which has been treated with a sort of lacquer. In the center is a pearl in a gold-plated bezel. The flat, oversized shape definitely makes a statement, but they are very lightweight and so comfortable. These measure about 1.5\" and are finished with a clip-on back.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGreat vintage condition. There is some wear to the backside of the earring, which isn't visible when worn.
