It is 82” long x 73 ½” wide.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTwo peacocks are facing each, encircled by a wreath or arbor. There’s a separate cluster of flowers at the top and 2 vertical rows of other decorative stitching. The colors are still very vivid and including pink, purple, green, yellow, blue, coral, and brown.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe embroidery is in fantastic shape. There are a few loose threads along the pink border—please see pics. Other than that, there are a few light stains, one in the pink border and one on the right where the cover hangs down. Neither are quite an inch and noticeable.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe top and bottom edges are hemmed; the 2 sides are selvaged. That’s what makes me think this could have been used as a tablecloth, because many vintage tablecloths had 2 hemmed sides and 2 selvaged sides. But maybe bed covers did too.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI’m not sure of the fabric content but I think it’s cotton. The drape is heavy enough that it won’t slide all over the place but a perfect weight for summer nights or a tablecloth.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI’m not sure how old it is.
